Crime is something you are not allowed to do in a particular place, doing this same thing in a different place may not be a crime, which leads to the possibility of "The Perfect Crime".
The Perfect Crime
To do something you are not allowed to do but do it in a country where you are freely able.
- Travel to the USA and shoot somebody
- Walk your sheep on the common on thursday, but do it in Sheffield, not Wales
- Go to Cambodia and shoot a cow with a rocket launcher
- Go up to the King and say Crap, Crap! but do that in Thailand, you will sound mildly rebellious yet only be saying I Agree, Sir
- Have sex with a prostitute whilst smoking a joint, but do it in Holland, not The House of Commons and all will be well
