Create account
This one is nice and easy. Simply click on login/create account in the top right-hand corner of the page orclick here and then click on create an account. You then simply have to supply a user name and password of your choosing (no personal information is required) and you're ready to go!
Edit
To edit an existing page you simply click the edit tab in the views section of the menubar to the left, or the edit tags to the right of the specific section you're about to change. Try to remain true to the style of the article or, better still, keep your ideas clearly separate from the existing content (eg with a paragraph or title).
Add
If you're searching the site you may find that there is no page for your idea. In this case you should also find a promt to create the page. You should click on that prompt, type like a wittite possessed and then save your comedy gold by clicking on the save button at the foot of the editing area.
You can also check your progress before committing your words to the site by using the preview button (located to the right of the save button) before finally pressing save.
eg: to add a new page...
You want to do a page on Gods Left Sock
- Login using your new, and possibly very witty, username
- Search for the term Gods Left Sock by using the search box at the top of the page.
- Search result:
There is no page titled "Gods Left Sock". You can create this page. - Click on that link and type away - remembering to use the preview button to see how it looks.
- Once you're finished, re-read it to check that it is indeed as funny as you imagined it to be and, possibly, have a little chuckle at some of the things you wrote.
- Click on save.
