Iws

IWS, or internet withdrawal syndrome, affects one in ten of the population of some country or other. It happens when suddenly severed from an environment with a good internet connection and manifests itself in the desire to look up useless facts about things you never cared about such as googling to find out what other films that girl in the film you watched last night is in.

To date there is no known cure for this condition short of recieving a fix, although symptoms are bound to return eventually unless a feed of at least broadband quality is pumped directly into their brains.

Curiously, and much to the dismay of sufferers, people who have always lived with minimal internet contact or a poor connection speed are unaffected by this condition - preferring to either get information about useles stuff from books or else forget about it - reasoning that it's stuff that they are better off not filling their brains with anyway. Such people, however, will probably never know who did the voice for that funny character in that episode of the Simpsons that was on last week.
